Chapter 7, Lesson 1 is about modelling fractions. You will learn about a concept called improper fractions.
Chapter 7, Lesson 2 is about fractions greater than 1. You know that 3/3 (3 over 3) is the same thing as saying 1. If you have 5/3 (5 over 3), that means that your fraction is larger than 1.
Chapter 7, Lesson 3 is about improper fractions and mixed numbers. Mixed numbers are improper fractions that use a whole number and a fraction.
Chapter 7, Lesson 4 continues our exploration of improper fractions and mixed numbers.
Chapter 7, Lesson 5 teaches you how to represent mixed numbers as improper fractions. It is important to be able to convert these types of fractions back and forth.
Chapter 7, Lesson 6 teaches you how to compare fractions and mixed numbers.
